Alfa Laval India Pvt Ltd is looking for a Electrical and Automation Engineer for Pune,Baner location. The purpose of the role is to carry out electrical activities on development, standardisation or customer projects professionally and to the customers' expectations.The incubmnet would be responsible for ensuring fulfilment of requirement of external agencies as per the agreed specifications and act as as single point contact for coordination.He needs to understand key priorities and set targets for the project and also get in depth knowledge of specific application & drawings.

Knowlegde And Competencies

The scope of the role to include below responsibilities:

Technical Competencies

• Plan & schedule the EIA related activities for the project.
• Handle & execute simple hard/ software orders independently in consultation with PM, delivering equipments/ or plants as per the contract requirements within the project budget & agreed time.
• Carry out electrical and automation engineering which include electrical specifications of complete process plants, calculations, hardware and software specification of electrical and control panels, instrumentation, necessary technical documentation, function description specification, O&M manuals, follow-up at the sub-suppliers and hotline support for start-up of the plants.
• Coordinate for FAT & SAT and other inspection requirements.
• Regularly monitor the progress, resolve operational hurdles/ bottlenecks that might hamper execution of project.
• Ensure cost optimization on projects by optimizing design, procurement etc.
• Attend site meetings with customer, consultants and external suppliers.
• Participate in proposal and sales work as & when required.
• Stay up to date with new technology and tools and be able to implement, if necessary.
• Support Supply Chain in identifying, evaluating & selecting the alternate vendors.
• Cost estimation & approval of electrical systems.
  
  

For Global Projects

• Carry out electrical & instrumentation engineering on Automation and necessary technical documentation, compliances and safety related tasks.
• Drafting of electrical diagrams, layout and detail drawings. Review engineering drawings and analyze design.
• Design of electrical panels and perform relevant calculations and assessments.
• Contribute in defining the quality assurance process for the panel design & testing.
• To be able to design and built electrical panels according to specifications and corresponding deviation list. Testing of panel.
• Regarding updates, the electrical engineer shall be able to do updates without detailed markups (not only a drafting task).
• General rules for how documentation shall be done. A document can by example only be in one revision number and date (all EPLAN files shall be defined like this).
• Prepare instrument specifications / instrument list
• Review vendor’s quotes & finalize specifications as per contract
• Give input on instrument selection & sizing during the bid.
• Create & maintain database of standard instruments for energy separation.
• Work closely with project teams in Denmark. Participate in project meetings.
• Read contract specifications & make deviation list.
• Familiar with programming & FDS. Conduct FAT of panel & software.

Experience :Minimum 5 – 8 years of experience in relevant project execution. Preferably in handling international projects and/ or Indian projects of MNCs. Experience

Qualification: Instrumentation/ Automation engineer/ graduate having relevant experience in project engineering.
