Electrical Engineer
Job Description
1.The candidate should have experience working with electrical switch gear and have a good understanding of low voltage electrical systems
2. low voltage distribution system & low voltage panel engineering, design of earthing & lightning protection, design of small power distribution and design of lighting systems.
2. To reassemble, modify or repair existing low voltage electrical switch gear panels on client sites.
3. To check the electrical connections on completion of each electrical modification and sign off panel site test certificate on completion of the works.
4.To complete insulation tests on electrical switch gear panels and record the readings on the panel site test certificate.
5.To test that the functionality of the modification made to the electrical panels are in accordance with the electrical wiring drawings issued and sign off on the panel site test certificate.
6.To take a lead role on each project they are given and where necessary supervise and instruct other personnel on that project.
7.To mark up any changes to the as built drawing and return the drawing to the design office for updating.
8.To be able to communicate well with the client and their representatives
Electrical Design Engineer job description that we have on our system, switch gear experience would be of benefit but not essential, the right candidate could be trained up on our systems
Time 9-5:30 6 days a week
Location Trivandrum
Willing to travel / stay at customer sites for site engineering phase is necessary.
Qualification : B.E/B.TECH/DIPLOMA in ELECTRICAL with good academic background.
Language: Fluent in English and good writing skills
Skill sets required:
1) Software – Proficiency in Auto Cad 2014-2017
2) Product:A) Thorough knowledge in low voltage panel layout design, with hands on experience in
enclosure, back plate, door layout and mounting frame design.
B) Good knowledge of selecting switch gears (MCCB, MCB Starters, and Relays etc.)
3) Should have good knowledge of Low voltage panel manufacturing process.
4) Exposure to international standards in panel design is preferred (IEC/ATEX/NEC)
5) Awareness of “hazardous area requirements” will be an added advantage
6) Good communication skill
