Responsibilities
Electrical Engineer need to
understand Overall substation and its components. The list may include but is
not limited to: Circuit Breakers, Isolators, Current transformers, EMVT, VT,
Line Trap, Insulators and bus bar materials, transformers, MV & HV
switchgear, performance testing, control and protection system and data
acquisition systems (SCADA). It also includes familiarity with related codes
and standards.
Shall be responsible for following activities of tender and Execution
activities of AIS & GIS (for 400 kV & below):
· Primary engineering design and drawings for substation projects
· Conceptualize and prepare Protections Single Line diagram / schematics
based on the contract specification / customer requirement
· Knowledge of interlocks and logics / utility practices for different bus-bar
arrangement
· Knowledge of relay and SAS by major manufacturers
· Prepare optimized Control cable philosophy and cable schedules
· Engineering for equipment used in AC switchyards (e.g., circuit breakers,
instrument transformers, switchgear, power transformers, etc.) and relay panels,
SCADA, PLCC & FOTE
· Identify risks & opportunities.
· Should be able to ensure optimized BOQ & drawings
· Understands interfaces with civil, mechanical, C&I / automation
systems.
· Driving Technical negotiation with Customers/consultants during tendering
& detailing stage.
· Effective verbal & written communication skill.
· Willingness to visit project sites & stay for few weeks/ months to
support tendering/site/ team whenever
