About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Work on the development of bare metal or real-time operating systems (RTOS) based embedded software applications on PIC, AVR, STM, MSP microcontrollers using C
2. Design functional modules according to requirements/specifications
3. Work on the integration & software system testing/debugging
4. Interact with the hardware and testing team to deliver the product in time-efficient and assigned timelines
5. Support for developing embedded software including documenting requirements, design, and implementation

Other requirements

1. Strong in C, Embedded C, 8/16/32 bit microcontrollers, or processor-based system firmware design

2. Good in understanding, interfacing, and debugging hardware

3. Hands-on experience in using the tools, emulators, debuggers, compilers, IDE's, DSO, Multimeters, etc.

4. Knowledge in communication standards like I2C, USB, CAN, TCP/IP, SPI, RS232, RS422, TIA/EIA- 485-A and familiar with standard communication protocols/interfaces including GSM/GPRS & GPS

5. Knowledge in GSM/GPRS/WIFI communication modes and GPS based systems

6. Should be able to understand schematics, datasheets

7. Basic knowledge of hardware is a must

8. Good analytical and interpersonal skills
