Embedded Software Verification Lead
Role Description:
The selected candidate shall develop guidelines for embedded software verification and standardize the implementation of these guidelines in the embedded systems group. He/ She shall mentor a couple of junior resources to perform verification of embedded software through formulation and execution of unit test cases and functional tests at ECU level. For functional test cases, he/ she shall guide usage and deployment of automated testing tool within and outside the embedded systems group. He/ she shall also support the embedded software quality engineer by reporting embedded software metrics for FMEA. The selected candidate shall also have primary responsibility of deploying all unit test cases on a nightly build system to facilitate automated regression testing.
Experience Level:
At least 8 years in embedded system development role with minimum 3 years’ experience of embedded software verification for automotive applications.
Desired Qualification:
B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech. / Applied M.Sc. / M.Sc – Tech. / M.Sc. – Engg. / M.S. in Electronics (And [Tele] Communication)/ Control Systems/ Instrumentation.
Essential Skill-set:
Good understanding of embedded C and software architecture.
Awareness of code complexity metrics such as McCabe metric/ others.
Exposure to usage of unit testing tools and code coverage tools.
Extensive experience of nightly build and test deployment using Jenkins.
Good understanding of MISRA guidelines and underlying rationale.
Good to have:
ISO26262 certification.
Awareness of CMMI Level 3 practices as applied to automotive embedded software development.
ISTQB certification [advanced level]
