Job Title: Embedded Testing Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for embedded systems, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
• Perform functional, performance, stress, and regression testing of embedded software and firmware.
• Identify, isolate, and document defects using bug tracking tools, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and provide input on design for testability.
• Create and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
• Design and implement automated testing frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency.
• Participate in design reviews to provide input on potential quality and testing issues.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in embedded systems testing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in testing embedded systems, firmware, and software.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in embedded systems, such as C, C++, and Python.
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded software development tools.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing.
• Ability to create and execute test cases, analyze test results, and generate meaningful reports.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools is a plus.
• Industry certifications such as ISTQB or similar are advantageous.
