Juniper Networks is seeking a Product Safety engineer or an EMC engineer in its Hardware Engineering department in Bangalore, India. The objective of the Design engineer (Safety or EMC) is to design high-end and industry leading networking hardware to meet global regulatory and/or customer related requirements in a cost-effective manner. The Design engineer engages as early as practical in the R&D cycle to ensure compliance by design and to avoid costly retrofits. The ideal candidate will have experience in EMC or in Product Safety but he/she will get cross-trained in EMC or in Safety to support shifting business needs and workloads as required.

Responsibilities

• Scope new projects, identify and assess risks and new relevant technologies, develop mitigation plans, test plans and prototype allocations requirements
• Design for international regulatory or customer standards
• Review product requirement documents and provide feedback related to regulatory requirements
• Perform in-depth analysis and perform experiments and measurements to validate assumptions
• Engage with and provide feedback to Hardware, Power, Thermal, Signal Integrity, Test teams and Program Managers as necessary
• Overview testing and resolve non-compliant issues with cost-effective methods
• Update cross-functional stakeholders of compliance activities and status
• Review test reports and provide post project analysis feedback
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering
• 1+ year of hands-on EMC or Product Safety Design experience with information technology equipment
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on EMC or Product Safety design experience with information technology equipment
• Strong/expert knowledge of international standards and procedures related to obtaining worldwide product certifications
