Eng. I Infra Run

Locations: Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India

Key Responsibilities/ duties:

Coordinates or assists in the coordination of assigned projects for the maintenance and development of systems in assigned areas. Uses superior customer service skills to ensure systems meet the needs of the client.
Monitors project progress to ensure that the implementation of new systems are both timely and cost effective. Reports project progress to department and client management as needed to ensure appropriate levels of support to meet run goals.
Prepares programs and systems as necessary to support assigned run tasks.
Prepares appropriate documentation of database operational procedures from both the client and technical perspective.
Creates and maintains the physical database from a logical data mode. Also defines and maintains both data integrity controls and database security.
Develops SQL guidelines and works with programmers to utilize these guidelines in the code for their assigned area data dictionary.
Restructures data for database changes. Works with developers to initialize fields.
Runs all database utilities, such as re-orgs, re-indexes and statistics updates.
Monitors the performance and tunes all databases to ensure efficient access. Takes corrective action as needed.
Develops procedures for utilizing DBA and SQL Tuning Tools and maintains these for other Database Administration Associates and Applications Programmers.
Troubleshoots database problems and provides technical support for databases and operating systems in cooperation with other team members.
Assists in the development and/or delivery of training to programmers and end-users as necessary.
Keeps abreast of current developments and trends in database management systems technology through networking, continuing education and industry/technology publications.
