Here’s Just Some Of What You’ll Be Doing

There are hundreds of opportunities to make your mark on technology and life at American Express.

• Taking your place as a core member of an agile team driving the latest development practices
• Writing code and unit tests, working with API specs and automation
• Identifying opportunities for adopting new technologies
• Leading a team of engineers that delivers knowledge management solutions to businesses worldwide
• Strong experience with OFSAA Regulatory Reporting Solution , Lombard and Functional knowledge of FRY9C, LP , 2314, Y11 and Y14
• Conduct IT requirements gathering.
• Strong core java background and UI development - Core Java, EJB, Struts, Spring MVC, Hibernate, SQL
• Define problems and provide solution alternatives.
• Create detailed computer system design documentation.
• Implement deployment plan.
• Conduct knowledge transfer with the objective of providing high-quality IT consulting solutions
• Support consulting team in different phases of the project including problem definition, effort estimation, diagnosis, solution generation, design and deployment.
• Under supervision participate in unit-level and organizational initiatives with the objective of providing high-quality and value adding consulting solutions.
• Understand issues and diagnose root-cause of issues. Perform secondary research as instructed by supervisor to assist in strategy and business planning.

Minimum Qualifications

• Preferably a BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline
• 9+ years of software development experience
• Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges and articulate solutions
• Willingness to learn new technologies and exploit them to their optimal potential
• Strong experience with OFSAA Regulatory Reporting Solution , Lombard and Functional knowledge of FRY9C, LP , 2314, Y11 and Y14
