Role Summary:Design, Engineering and Technical interface to Customer, Internal Stakeholders and Vendors for Automation systems of Oil & Gas projects

Essential Responsibilities

Minimum Five years of experience in Oil & Gas/Mining process/Sub-station automation
Experience in Hardware Engineering, Networking, Communication Protocols (IEC 61850) for Automation Systems
Automation Software development and Commissioning for Oil & Gas, Mining projects
Act as a focal point for providing Systems /Automation engineering expertise
Support ongoing project with strict timelines as per company’s OTR process
Actively engage with project teams to provide solutions for the project that technically fit the purpose
Identify technical risks and put in place the mitigation plan for the same
Support a team of System /Automation engineers in resolving technical issues for current projects, equipment under test, or in-service platforms
Ensure strict compliance with all company and customer’s EHS policies and procedures
Identify and propose improvements in processes, tools, system solutions and technologies, rolling out improvements when agreed with leadership team
Foster relationship with other GE business entities to maximize the benefits of synergies
Liaise with other GE businesses, platform verticals, supply chain, sub-contractors and suppliers as appropriate in order to support the project and the business

Qualifications/Requirements

Masters /Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics engineering from reputed College/University
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the following;

Automation Systems for Oil & Gas Process
Hardware engineering, Networking, Communication protocols, SCADA/HMI System
Experience of System integration working on multi-discipline projects

Knowledge and application of International Standards

Experience with Energy Management Systems is added advantage

Be self-motivated, creative and a team player, with ability to come up with unique solutions to complex problems
Capable of working with multi-disciplined international team with good personal organization skills
Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects to strict time scales
Willing to travel on short notice within base country and overseas for short/long term assignments
Proficiency in French/ German language will be an added advantage
