Primary Responsibilities:

Play a key role in strategy, goals and execution of the organization to scale and structure the development organization, processes, and delivery pipeline to support business objectives
Direct the activities of teams and functions responsible for the design, development, testing, integration, deployment, support, and maintenance of the Agile development projects
Partner with the Business, Product Management, and IT in the definition, sizing, and prioritization of initiatives, creation of the portfolio road map, and solution delivery
Lead the execution of technology strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships
Anticipate and react to major technology changes to ensure the maintenance of company leadership in the competitive landscape
Establish Technical standards and ensure Quality adherence to them for product development and company operations
Drive technology modernization, consolidation and tech debt reduction initiatives. Perform assessment of current state, lay out future road map, build business case and drive implementation to deliver business value
Bring thought leadership on modern technology and engineering practices - AI/ML, NLP, open source, cloud, DevOps, CI/CD and reusable APIs
Develop, source and nurture best in class engineering talent to move up the value chain and over-all engineering maturity of organization
Manage Specification, design, development, and debugging of scalable and high-performance applications
Coordinate application development projects and production issues with Product Management, Quality Engineering, and Application Support teams
Provide technical guidance for design and development
Spearheading technology department Initiatives
Perform strategic analysis and provide recommendations to improve processes and/or work products for the department
Develop annual team goals
Establish team metrics for success measurement
Liaison between the team and the Sr. Leadership
Mentor team and assisting in design of individual goals and professional growth plans
Assist in recruiting efforts for development as well as other teams in the Technology department
Give performance evaluations and reviews to supervised employees
Take ownership of product road map and develop product release plans in alignment with business strategy & customer needs
Build and deliver multiple products/components in rapid iterations and with high predictability
Drive initiatives to raise the bar on product SLAs
Build and maintain high performance engineering teams
Drive initiatives to raise the bar on quality of deliverables and productivity of teams
Assist business in product launches & customer adoption

Required Qualifications:

Strong experience in technology
Experience of product development using Agile methodology
Excellent people leadership skills
Has process discipline
Ability to get to the bottom of issues (root-cause)
Creative problem solver
Ability to drive for excellence with a strong sense of urgency
Ability to prioritize effectively
