Summary

Designs, develops and implementation of business systems. Responsibilities

Collaborate daily with a staff of deployment engineers and imaging engineers supporting a large Virtual Desktop environment.

Monitor and respond to operational alerts for vital infrastructure components and virtual desktop space.

Identify trends in utilization and recommend process, workflow or configuration optimizations.

Collaborate on deployment and provisioning of pools, clusters and management solutions to solve complex operational challenges.

Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks.

Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security products and solutions to protect our key components.

Create dashboards, reports, alerts and automated tasks within our current management toolsets. (Lansweeper, Solarwinds, VROPs, etc.)

Act as an end user advocate to ensure that VDI endpoints maintain high performance and ease of use.

Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies; investigate and troubleshoot issues. Requirements

Able to communicate clearly and effectively.

Ability to take direction and to know when to ask for help.

Experience in a medium to large enterprise environment.

Well versed in Virtualization technologies, specifically VMware vSphere; ESXi, vCenter, v Realize Operations

Well versed in VMware Horizon View, management, administration, optimization and design.

Familiarity with Cisco UCS and related networking concepts Education Requirement Completion of multiple advanced courses in primary module.
