Job Description of Fabric Department In-charge

·       Keep record maintained of daily incoming of fabrics

·       Check fabric and give report within 5 days of receiving the goods

·       If any Fabric lot has high rejection then the same needs to be informed to supplier by sending the scanned copy of fabric checking on mail and whatsapp along with the images of defects

·       High rejection taaka should not be used in production and this needs to be controlled by regularly checking the work of fabric checkers in the department

·       Should have extensive knowledge of Polyester and Viscose base fabrics.

·       Once the fabric is received to make sure it is matching to the requirements such as GSM, COLOR, WIDTH, FASTNESS AND HANDFEEL

·       Should have experience in managing and stocking fabrics. Store management is extremely important. NEED STOCK REPORT ON WEEKLY BASIS ALONG WITH OCR

·       Once the style is clear from the cutting department; the OCR clearing responsibility is of the personnel and it should be done max within 4 days time and handed over to the factory manager weekly in time.

·       Should have basic knowledge of patterning and average calculation in order to clear the OCR accurately.

·       To keep a track of cutting plan given, and hence issue goods to cutting department 2 days before the style is planned to cut

·       Will be working in sync with the cutting department very closely regarding Final Ok qty’s, rejection and cut pcs.

·       To keep a track of NEW styles, as fabric is received the PP should be cut and hence regularly informing the management and taking action to proceed with PP procedures

·       Make sure cut pcs are efficiently used by cutting department and hence the rejection is minimized as per the company standards

·       GOOD MATH SKILLS IS A KEY REQUIREMENT.
