Qualification :

School of Interdisciplinary Studies :- Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the M. Tech/M. Sc. degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University/Institute, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Candidates with M. Tech. degree, who have submitted Ph.D. Thesis and have not been awarded yet may also be eligible to apply. M.Sc. candidates should have Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines

Faculty of Science :- Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the M.C.A./M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc. degree level in Computer Science/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Computer Science & Technology from an Indian University/Institute, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Candidates with M. Tech. degree, who have submitted Ph.D. Thesis and have not been awarded yet may also be eligible to apply. Candidates without having Ph.D. degree must have cleared NET/SLET/SET examination.

Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the M.Tech/M.Sc. degree level in Nutrition or any related field (for example, food studies, food science, food administration, food technology, nutrition, dietetics, or agriculture, public health, physical education etc.) from an Indian University/ Institute, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. For the M.Tech degree holders, PhD award awaiting candidates are also eligible. M.Sc. candidates should have Ph.D. degree in nutrition or related fields associated with food and nutrition. Candidates without having PhD degree must have cleared NET/SLET/SET examination.

Emoluments :Rs.40,000 (consolidated)

The University of Kalyani was established in 1960 with a campus area of over 400 acres in Kalyani town. It is well connected by road and railway, with a railway station very close to the University. The University is situated in a locality surrounded by a rural setting within a rural backdrop and it caters mostly to the students of rural and backward areas. Yet, its distance from Kolkata is only 50 km.
