Faculty (Marine Chief Engineer) in Marine Engineering Training Institute (METI) recruitment in Cochin Shipyard Limited on contract basis

Eligibility: Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/ Naval Architecture Engineering or equivalent.

Should hold MEO Class I (Motor) Certificate of Competency with working / sailing Experience as Chief Engineer on foreign going ships for at least 3 years.

Preference will be given to those candidates who have Teaching experience in DGS approved Institutes and who have done a course on “Training of Trainers and Assessors” conducted by DGS approved Institutes.

Qualification : (i) Those applicants having qualifications equivalent to any of the prescribed qualifications should submit Equivalency Certificate issued by the competent authority and without such certificate, their candidature will not be considered. (ii) The minimum qualification stipulated for the post must be from a University/ Institute recognized by AICTE/ appropriate statutory authority in India/ State/ Central Government. c) Experience (i) Experience acquired after the date of passing of the qualification stipulated as per item I above will only be considered. Period of post qualification experience will be reckoned as on 20 February 2019.

Age: Not to exceed 55 years.

Remuneration: First Year Rs. 60,000,Second Year Rs.61,800
