We are looking to hire a Fashion Designer (Intern) with panache and flair to capture the mood on the street in our Boho inspired Indo Western ready-to-wear clothing line. The Fashion Designer must be able to interpret latest trends, have an eye for innovation and spot trends and interpret specific color palettes, patterns and prints for each season. You will sketch your designs and collaborate with the team in creating the final product, assisting in every step, starting from sourcing fabric to stitching the final sample.
To ensure success you will be able to spot trends, capture the spirit of the times in your creations and display business acumen (to ensure that it fits into the brand's positioning strategy) in your ability to build the clothing line.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Assisting design process from conception through to final styling.

• Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.

• Working to create and select seasonal themes, make edits to line, and create new concepts.

• Knowledge about Selection of fabrics and trims.

• Creating production sketches for development packages.

• Collaborating with Technical Pattern Designer to ensure development packages are accurate.

• Reviewing product for style and fit during presentation.
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in fashion design, or college degree in related field

• Understanding and Interest of Indo Western fusion and bohemian culture 

• Proficient with softwares necessary for your domain, like Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator.

• Availability to travel for research and product development. 

•Ability to do sketches by hand.

• Excellent sense of style and color.

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to meet multiple deadlines.
