Job Description

Applications are invited to attend "Interview online through video conferencing mode" for the following purely temporary post under DBT funded network project at ICAR- NBPGR, Regional Station, Akola as mentioned below.

1. Name and No of Post: Field Assistant (01 No.)

2. Emoluments per month: Rs.20000/- + 8% HRA per month

3. Essential qualification: Graduation in Agriculture Sciences.

4. Desirable Qualification: Experience in field crops/ laboratory work, handling of office documents, basic knowledge of computer and data entry, etc.

5. Project Name: Exploitation of genomic resources for improvement of niger (Guizotia abyssinica L. F.Cass) through breeding and biotechnological tools. Sub Project-2: Development of core set from entire germplasm characterized data and its validation in different agro climatic conditions. (Component-1)

In an unprecedented initiative, NBPGR, for the first time, has characterized and evaluated (preliminary) entire germplasm of wheat (22000 accessions comprising T. aestivum, T. durum and T. dicoccum) conserved in the National Genebank, at three locations in during Rabi 2011-12. At CCS HAU, Hisar, the wheat accessions have been characterized under optimum conditions. Data on 32 agro-morphological characters are used to develop a core-set.
