The Upcountry Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales, developing distributor and dealer networks, and expanding market presence in rural and semi-urban (upcountry) areas. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, maintaining strong customer relationships, and increasing product visibility in assigned territories.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets in assigned upcountry territory
Appoint and manage distributors, dealers, and retailers
Ensure product availability and visibility in the market
Conduct regular market visits and retailer follow-ups
Identify new business opportunities and untapped markets
Collect payments and ensure outstanding dues are minimized
Monitor competitor activities and market trends
Implement promotional schemes and marketing campaigns
Maintain daily sales reports and submit to reporting manager
Resolve customer complaints and service issues promptly
Strong field sales and negotiation skills
Ability to travel extensively in rural areas
Relationship-building and networking skills
Target-oriented and self-motivated
Good communication and persuasion skills
Basic knowledge of MS Excel and reporting
Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred)
1–5 years of field sales experience (FMCG / Building materials / Paints / Agri / Consumer goods preferred)
Extensive travel required
Field-based role
May involve working in remote areas
