About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Serve customers by selling diagnostic products and meeting customer needs
2. Service existing accounts, obtain orders and establish new accounts by
3. planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
4. Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor
5. Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers
6. Orchestrate virtual sales channels, including social media, presentation technology, and webinars
7. Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature
8. Keep the management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
9. Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques
10. Recommend changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
11. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to the management
12. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
