Field Surveyor

Grade : Gr.III

Scale of Pay : PB-2 Rs.14,000/- to 49,000/- with Grade pay Rs.6,800/-

Assistant Chemist

No. of Post : 01 (UR)

Qualification : Passed H.S.(Science) or equivalent examination with Chemistry as one of the subject from a Govt. recognized Institution.

Grade : Gr.III

Scale of Pay : PB-2 Rs. 14,000/- to 49,000/- with Grade pay Rs. 6,200/-

Monument Attendant

No. of Posts : 03 (SC-2, UR-1)

Qualification : i) Passed Class VIII or its equivalent examination from a Govt. recognized Institution.

Grade : Gr.IV

Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs. 12,000/- to 37 500/- with Grade pay Rs.3,900/-

Age Limit : Age of the candidates shall not be less than 18 years or more than 44 years as on 01.01.2019 (as per O.M. vide No.ABP.6/2016/8 dated 18th April, 2018). The upper age limit is relaxable by (i) 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. (ii) For Persons with Disabilities (PWD) by 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC/MOBC and General Category, of candidates as per Govt. Notification No. ABP144/95/121 dated Dispur the 28th October, 2015.

Selection Procedure : Test/Interview.

Set up in 1961 as the Directorate of Archaeology and Museums the Directorate of Archaeology has been functioning under Education (CTM) Department as an independent Directorate since 1983. Based on its field archaeological exploration, the Directorate has listed a large number of archaeological sites and monuments which, the Directorate has brought under its protection in a phased manner on priority basis. The Directorate has set up three Zonal Offices of Conservation Officers, covering three different zones viz. Madan Kamdev in Kamrup District, Hojai in Nagaon district and the other at Na-Pukhuri in Sivasagar district to look after its listed monuments.
