Applications are invited for filling up of one post of Financial Adviser and Chief Accounts Officer (post code FN-FAC-01) in the Class I Scale of Pay of Rs. 100000- 260000 (Rs.43200-66000 pre -revised) in V.O.Chidambaranar Port Trust by absorption through composite method from the Officers of Major Port Trusts fulfilling the eligibility criteria prescribed in the Recruitment Rules.

1. Scale of pay (Rs): Rs.100000- 260000 (Rs.43200- 66000 prerevised/ Rs.18500- 450-23900 pre-pre revised)

2. Educational and other qualifications required for direct recruits: Essential: (i) Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Or of Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ii) Fifteen years experience in Executive cadre in the field of Finance, Accounting in an Industrial/Comm ercial/Governme nt Undertakings.

3. Method of recruitment, whether by direct recruitment or by promotion or by deputation/ absorption and percentage of the post To be filled by various method: By absorption through composite method failing which by deputation failing both by direct recruitment

4. In case of recruitment by promotion/ deputation absorption grades from which promotion/ deputation/ absorption, to be made: For absorption through composite method, officers holding the post of Financial Adviser and Chief Accounts Officer or officers holding post in the scale of p ay of Rs.90000-240000 (Rs.36600-62000 pre-revised) Rs. 17500-22300 pre-pre revised) with 2 years servicein the grade or officers holding the posts in the scale of pay of Rs.80000-220000 (Rs.32900-58000 pre-revised/ Rs. 16000-20800 pre-revised) with 3 years regular service in the grade in the Finance Department of a Major Port Trust will be eligible.

5. For Deputation, officers holding the post of Financial Adviser and Chief Accounts Officer or officers holding post of Senior Deputy Chief Accounts Officer and the post of Financial Adviser and Chief Accounts Officer in the Finance Department in the scale of pay of Rs.80000-220000 (Rs.32900-58000 pre-revised/ Rs. 16000-20800 pre-revised)and above in Government/Semi Government / Public Sector undertakings or Autonomous bodies with 3 years regular service in the grade will be eligible

6. The Selection is by merit for which the bench mark in overall grading in the Annual Confidential reports will not be below "Very Good"

7. If a Departmental Promotion Committee exists what is its composition: i) Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Shipping looking after the of PHRDChairman ii) Chairman/DeputyChairman of the Port—Member iii) Any other Port Chairman or an officer having wide experience in the field to be nominated by the Ministry of Shipping-Member iv) Representative of Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes nominated by Ministry of Shipping-Member
