With a solid knowledge of fire safety codes and regulations, they implement preventative measures, maintain buildings safety standards, create and implement safety policies and train in appropriate fire safety procedures. Fire Safety Officers usually work for state and local governments, although they may work for organizations and companies with facilities large enough to necessitate their own fire safety staff.
