Key Responsibilities: FITTER

• Assembly & Fabrication: Constructing and assembling components from raw materials, cutting, shaping, and joining metal parts. 

• Installation: Fitting and installing machinery, pipework, and structural components. 

• Maintenance & Repair: Performing routine checks, diagnosing faults, and repairing malfunctioning equipment. 

• Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and understanding engineering drawings and technical manuals. 

• Tool Usage: Proficiently using hand tools (files, hammers) and power tools (saws, grinders, welding equipment). 

• Quality Control: Inspecting finished parts for accuracy against specifications. 

• Safety & Documentation: Adhering to safety standards, documenting work, and collaborating with teams. 
  
  Core responsibilities - Machinist

  • Machine operation and setup: Program, set up, and operate CNC machines like lathes, milling machines, and grinders to shape raw materials. 

  • Blueprint interpretation: Read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine dimensions and requirements. 

  • Quality control: Monitor the machining process, make adjustments as needed, and use measuring equipment to verify that parts meet quality and tolerance standards. 

  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure proper function and keep equipment in good working order. 

  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve problems that may arise during the machining process. 

  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of production, quality logs, and machine actions.
