POSITION TITLE: Front Office Assistant
REPORTS TO: Manager-Operations
POSITION SUMMARY: Front desk assistants, also known as receptionists, are usually the first point of contact for anyone calling or visiting a business. They're typically responsible for answering the phone, directing calls and greeting guests and may perform some administrative work, such as maintaining files or spreadsheet.
Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay. Determinates a guest's reservation status and identifies how long the guest will stay. Helps guests complete registration cards and then assigns rooms, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
Verifies the guest's method of payment and follows established credit-checking procedures. Places guest and room information in the appropriate front desk racks and communicates this information to the appropriate hotel personnel.
FRONT OFFICE ASSISTANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PREREQUISITES:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Must speak, read. Write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace. Must be able to speak and understand the primary language used by the guests who visits the hotel.
EDUCATION:
Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset or Graduates bachelor degree and/or diploma in hotel or other related field. Computer Knowledge, MS office. Experience in Property Management Software's, Revenue Management Systems desired.
Experience: Previous hotel-related experience desired.
Salary:- Depending on experience & merit. 7.5K-10K. Freshers are also welcome.
