We are looking for an experienced AS400 / RPGLE Developer with strong expertise in IBM i application development, enhancement, and support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in RPGLE programming, DB2/400, and AS400 system operations, along with exposure to application maintenance and production support.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications on IBM i (AS400) platform.

Develop and modify programs using RPGLE (Free/Fixed format), CLLE, and SQLRPGLE.

Work extensively with DB2/400, including table design, queries, and performance tuni

Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

Perform debugging, unit testing, and code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables

Provide production support, issue analysis, and root cause resolution.

Handle application modernization and system enhancements as per business needs.

Collaborate with onshore/offshore teams, business users, and stakeholders.

Prepare technical documentation and follow SDLC/Agile processes

Required Skills

Strong experience in AS400 / IBM i application development

Proficiency in RPGLE (Free & Fixed format)

Hands-on experience with CL/CLLE programming

Strong knowledge of DB2/400 and embedded SQL

Experience with SQLRPGLE programs

Knowledge of IBM i system operations, job handling, and libraries

Debugging using STRDBG, Service Jobs, and message handling

Experience in application maintenance and support
Good to Have Skills

Experience with Web Services on AS400

Exposure to IBM i modernization tools

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology

Experience in banking, insurance, or manufacturing domains
