Job Description:

ADAMAS TECH CONSULTING, a unit of RICE Group, the educational conglomerate from the East is looking for Software Developers with preferred expertise in OpenEdx development and configuration.

The group headquartered in Kolkata straddles almost all aspects of education from K-12 and University. Adamas Tech is to digitize the entire aspect of education and skilling. It will be led by the next generation who combine the knowledge derived from a global professional education to entrepreneurial skills inherited. It is a well-funded start-up located in South Bengaluru.

Core Technologies:  Python, Django, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, MySQL.

Experience: 5-10 years

Key Responsibilities:

●       Defining, communicating and documenting technical and design requirements.

●       Customizing OpenEdx instance including XBlocks, LTIs, and APIs.

●       Customizing and theming OpenEdx instance according to business requirements

●       Designing and developing new features on the OpenEdx instance either on AWS or Azure platform.

●       Configuring database and performing maintenance operations.

●       Secure, monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot a live OpenEdX system.

●       Perform administration tasks, including backup, restore, and site migration.

●       Create functional tests and perform security and quality control checks prior to production deployments

●       Compiling and analyzing data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement

●       Building reusable code and libraries for future use

●       Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability

●       Researching on newer libraries, tools, and frameworks

Qualification & Skill

●       B. Tech in Computer Science or Equivalent from a reputed institute

●       Experience in Python and Django.

●       Understanding of the OpenEdX architecture, tools, and development process.

●       Understanding OpenEdx internationalization

●       Strong algorithmic, discrete math, data structures, computational complexity, computer security, and cryptography skills.

●       Product dev  in web/mobile startups with expertise in designing and implementing high-performance web applications

●       Understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3

●       Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

●       Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

●       Proficient understanding of OWASP security principles
