Digiotouch (DIGI) is a fast-growing SME providing secure, sustainable digital transformation products and services. We operate in four industry verticals - digital healthcare, agri-food, industry 4.0, and smart cities. Our core competency is to digitize customers' legacy business processes, operations, and assets using two core products - cloud-based and secure Paradise IoT Platform and Digiotouch Edge. The company provides open standard-based digital solutions powering next-gen devices and services for the EU digital single market initiative.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Creating UI components from an existing template and writing Ajax calls to manipulate it
2. Learning and writing code in a reactive environment using promises
3. Adapting to a test-driven development and writing extensive test cases ensuring 90% code coverage
4. Devising new algorithms to improve backend performance and/or fixing bugs
5. Documenting the development practices followed
6. Understanding MongoDB document design, performing profiling in various scenarios, identifying potential bottlenecks, and improving the query time
7. Understanding the data and plotting multiple charts on the web using Chart.js or other libraries in a dynamic environment
