Job Summary
Join the rapidly growing Virtual Desktop Service (VDS) team within NetApp, delivering a powerful SaaS platform that helps customers harness the power of public, private, and multi-cloud solutions. Virtual Desktop Service orchestrates deployment and lifecycle management of virtual desktop environments in Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Amazon Web Services using either Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) or Remote Desktop Services (RDS).

VDS is actively seeking an experienced engineer for the full stack UI team. The focus of this team is to architect and maintain the public-facing user interfaces customers interact with to perform deployment and lifecycle management operations in VDS. The full stack UI team leverages modern web technologies to make managing and connecting to VDS environments easy.

Collaborate to design and implement user interfaces for VDS management, provisioning, and user desktop access. Workflows involved use a wide variety of different technologies and platforms
Complete unstructured tasks with many interdependencies, requiring creative solutions
Participate in writing project specs and release documentation
Designing, coding, testing, & automation
Process benchmarking and performance analysis
Work on additional tasks that contribute toward team, department, and company goals

Job Requirements

Experience with python is required
Experience consuming RESTful API is required
Experience with a python web framework is strongly recommended. Preferably Flask or Pyramid/Pylons
Experience with docker is recommended.
Experience with git for SCM is required
Experience with linux or OSX is required.
Experience with redis or other caching database is recommended.
Experience with CSS and CSS preprocessor like LESS/SASS is recommended
Experience with AngularJS 1.7 or bootstrap 3 is required
Experience with semantic-ui or a modern UI framework like it (Google Material) is preferred
Familiarity with Agile development concepts and workflow
Experience with cloud-based web services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
Experience with demoing mockups/wireframes for new UI concepts
Experience troubleshooting problems with complex implementations, including log review, service validation, and defect documentation
Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential
Ability to work collaboratively with other engineers and managers in a team environment to share best practices, meet aggressive goals, and meet high quality standards.

Education

Candidates typically possess 3 to 7 years of experience developing applications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology is typical. A Master’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred
