Job Description

G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment invites application for the position GIS Assistant

No of Post: 01

Salary: Rs. 20,000/- PM +HRA

Essential: First class Master degree (M.Sc./M.Tech) in RS&GIS/related subject. AND Minimum 2 years experience on GIS Data handling, processing and map preparation.

Desirable: Experience in GIS modelling, object based classification, handson experience on ESRI Arc GIS and Fragstats tool

Responsibility:

i. Compilation and collation of Satellite and Remotely Sensed datasets

ii. Thematic map preparation

iii. Landscape characteristic estimation

iv. GIS modelling.

Age Limit: 35 Years
