This is a challenging position that will call on the engineer to utilize a variety of skills. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining software related to SonicWall NGFW products. SonicWall is an industry leader in NGFW and your contributions will have a major impact in the security industry. The engineer should be well experienced in core networking technologies. You will also be working closely with multiple cross-functional engineering teams, potentially located in multiple time zones, to arrive at innovative design solutions. Direction will be provided but the engineer must be able to work well independently and have the initiative to identify and solve problems proactively.

Job Description:

Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts, data structure, algorithms, and system level programming (including multi-threaded programming). Experience is a PLUS.
Knowledge of Core Java, J2EE, Spring, JSP and others.
Knowledge of UI frameworks using AngularJS, ExtJS, JQuery, Javascript, Bootstrap, HTML.
Knowledge of Web application design and development with any application servers.
Expert skills in SQL and database design, knowledge with SQL and MySQL.
Familiarity with RESTful protocols and Web Services.
Expert skills in XML, JSON, and related technologies and protocols
Familiarity with Agile Software Development Methodologies
Familiarity with web servers like Tomcat and IDE’s like Eclipse, lntelliJ.
Familiarity with Source Code Management tools, like GIT, JIRA, Perforce.
Basic Unix command knowledge.
Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology
A strong drive and passion to learn new software design patterns, tools and technologies
First class communication skills in written and verbal form
Critical thinking skills and the ability to produce across your team and beyond.
