About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Designing graphic user interface elements like menus, tabs, and widgets
2. Developing UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how the app/web functions and looks using wireframing and design tools such as Sketch/Balsamiq
3. Preparing and presenting rough drafts to internal teams
4. Adhering to style standards on fonts, colors, and images
5. Collaborating with product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions
6. Executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
7. Conceptualizing original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks
8. Designing engaging, standardized templates and creatives for social media content
9. Establishing and promoting design guidelines, best practices, and standards

Other requirements

1. B.Sc in design (HCD/Graphic Design/UI/UX) or related field(s)

2. 1-2 years of relevant work experience

3. Experience in designing User Interface mockups

4. Conceptual understanding of User Interface design and the design process

5. Strong understanding of web and mobile platforms, particularly Android and iOS

6. Understanding of the limitations of web and mobile, with approaches/ideas to flex those boundaries

7. An eye for aesthetics like layout, grid systems, color theory, and typography
