About This Role

The full time Graphic Designer cum Video Editor/Animator will be responsible for influencing the client experience through creation of data visualization, illustration, videos and infographics that communicates our best practice, insight-driven consulting engagements and meets client expectations for creativity, quality, and accuracy. The designer will create high-end quality work to ensure clear communication of complex messaging through visual representation in a fast-pace and process-driven environment to meet deadlines. The person will be supporting Video Development, Collateral Development, Presentation Design, Creative Proposal Development and other time-sensitive collaterals.

What You’ll Do

• Creating motion graphics, explainer videos, whiteboard videos, and 2D video animations in Adobe After Effects, or any other animation development tool.
• Pre-production and post-production process: storyboarding, production briefs, graphics and special effects for video animations
• Create graphics/infographics based on text descriptions, hand-drawn sketches, and other inputs from consultants. Also, suggest layout enhancements for clear messaging of documents through visual interest and imagery.
• Responsible for creating branded graphics or improving existing graphics for video development, client deliverables, proposals, presentations, brochures, and other collateral, whilst working within defined timelines.
• Drive creativity in adherence with published Gartner standards for content, style, and consistency. Add visual interest to content-heavy documents using existing repositories icons and other imagery. Also creating new ones when needed in case
• Provide technical graphics support to global Consulting and the global C&P team.
• Ensure all graphics are compliant with Gartner color palette, branding and style guidelines, and leverage Consulting best practices.
• Directly create and manipulate graphics in PPT, Adobe suite and other graphics tools, and insert comments for escalation to senior experts or the requestor as needed.
• Scope of graphics cleanup includes taking graphics and frameworks created by consultants globally and improve them while ensuring the messaging is clear.
• Identify opportunities to leverage best practice graphics from graphics libraries, customizing as needed to meet custom request requirements.
• Technical graphics support with activities such as consistently re-sizing, cropping and adjusting photos to meet guidelines, readying images for production, sourcing stock images, re-creating non-editable images, etc.
• Strictly follow all C&P global best practices and guidelines, tied to Gartner corporate branding and standards, in all daily work. Use best judgment to meet detailed and varied client requirements and escalate for senior issue resolution as needed.
• Work with C&P team to help shape the development of policies, standards and procedures to encourage global best practices.
• Support both quick turnaround client requests and large internal initiatives such as knowledge management repositories.
• Support continual evolution of best practice graphics by capturing reusable graphics and frameworks from requests and update best practice tools and libraries.
  
  

What You’ll Need

• Bachelors degree or professional qualifications in graphic design or related field.
• 3- 5 years of direct computer graphics experience or equivalent experience in a desktop graphics design environment, preferably with a Big4, IT consulting, creative agency or a publishing firm.
• Advanced skills in graphic design, image manipulation, and communication via visuals. Ability to work with content and instructions in both U.S. and U.K. English.
• High proficiency in MS Office, Adobe suite and related graphics and document creation tools. In-depth understanding of complex publishing environment.

• Proficiency to work on animation effects and create informative videos basis the business requirements in PowerPoint, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a global environment for solving problems, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting strategic initiatives.
• Must exhibit teamwork with internal clients and other members of the creative team, take direction yet make decisions independently.
• Ability to perform gracefully under pressure and meet inflexible and shifting deadlines. Ensure rapid response service and juggle multiple requests with same-day deadlines.

• Ability to understand style guides and global best practices and apply them consistently every day.
• Good judgment in when to correct issues in content and when to escalate for senior expert or author input.
• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills with a no-limits mindset.
