Job Description
Build and configure hardware and update software
Running diagnostic programs and maintaining computer performance
Troubleshoot system failures and provide solutions to restore functionality
Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future computer hardware needs.
Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot workstation hardware
Ability to replace hardware or reinstall the entire operating system
Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for a variety of end-users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed.
Receive and respond to incoming calls and/or e-mails regarding PC and/or hardware problems.
Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference
Requirements
Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components
Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories
Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
Self-motivated and directed.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Strong customer-service orientation.
