Job Description

Job Summary
  • To serve food and drinks in the restaurant, bar, lounge, speciality services as the need arises and any area designated for that purpose.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Take reservations for seats, food/drinks orders over the phone or in person.
  • Report for work at least 15 minutes before resumption time to ensure basic mice-en-place are carried out before job commencement.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.
  • Prepare service table by lay-ups and sideboards, polish cutlery and all glassware.
  • Cheerfully receive guests and offer them seats.
  • Unfold napkin and serve water.
  • Hand over the menu and allow time for study. Stay handy and well focused on questioning or explanation on the menu.
  • Take orders from the guest via a docket / KOT (aperitif and food).
  • Give docket / KOT to the kitchen supervisor/chef in the kitchen; follow up to ensure quick preparation and dishing from the kitchen.
  • Observe diners to ensure that guests are satisfied with the food and service, respond to additional requests and determine when the meal has been completed.
  • Stock, remove, and reset dishes and silver wares between courses and clean and reset vacated tables. Present bills for all services rendered, remit cash collected to the designated cashier.
  • Clear table after services and reset.
  • Handle customer complaints or refer to the F&B supervisor.
  • Take appropriate action in an emergency.
  • Maintain good public relations.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: Hotel Management / Diploma holder / Experience in Hotel Industry.
  • Experience: Freshers to 2 Yrs.
  • Languages known preferred: English, Hindi, Bengali, Nepali.

  • Remuneration: Rs. 8,000 - Rs. 12,000 / Month Lodging will be provided to outstation candidates.
