  • To assist with the implementation of new legislation, national standards, policies and procedures across the organization, produce operating rules, advice and guidance. 
  • To assist in undertaking system security checks, risk assessments and the preparation of operating rules and procedural documentation. 
  • To participate as required in the planning and implementation of the Force’s information management needs. 
  • To assist in the undertaking of systematic and independent audits of computer applications and other information systems to determine compliance with data protection and other relevant legislation, national standards, policy guidelines and procedures. 
  • To liaise with systems owners and relevant staff, conduct interviews, collate evidence and undertake such research as is necessary for the effective provision of compliance advice.
  • To maintain record systems appropriate to the efficient operation of the Section.
  • To prepare reports and returns as required within the post holder’s responsibilities.
  • To provide advice and guidance to enquirers on matters within the post holder’s responsibilities.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function commensurate with the grading and level of responsibility of the post.
