Job Description
An HR recruiter's job is to help an organization find and hire the right people for open positions. They are responsible for many tasks, including:
- Creating job descriptions: Design and update job descriptions
- Sourcing candidates: Find potential candidates through online channels, job boards, social media, and other platforms
- Screening resumes: Review resumes and application forms to identify qualified candidates
- Interviewing: Interview candidates in person, by phone, or via video
- Making job offers: Send job offer emails and answer questions about compensation and benefits
- Tracking metrics: Monitor key HR metrics, such as time-to-fill and time-to-hire
- Onboarding: Act as a consultant to new hires and help them onboard
- Developing recruitment strategies: Create and track goals to identify success in the hiring process
- Networking: Network at events, fairs, and industry contacts
- Building employer brand: Find and hire the right candidate to build a strong employer brand
