Job Summary

• The Hub Manager needs to have relevant Industry / Institutional experience of 4 – 8 years of running a high tech lab/ makerspace/prototyping shop – mandatory.
• Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal is required. The Hub manager must also be willing and able to reach out to students of varied aptitudes. Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with students, parents and colleagues is a must.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Can take sessions on basic & advanced prototyping topics for students

• Can mentor student projects

• Conduct training and sessions for students for all equipment in the Innovation Hub

• Able to interact with faculty/and senior mentors to co-create, experiences, within and outside of curriculum

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Familiarity with the Design Thinking paradigm and product/service creation lifecycle

• Ability to create designs and realise them in multiple materials using 3d printers, Laser Cutters, and other prototyping materials
• Exposure to Basic Electronics, DIY Prototyping Modules

• Coding for Arduino & ESP actuators, Embedded Systems platforms, sensors

• CAD 2D/3D using any 2 industry standard softwares

• 3D Printing – Should be able to translate designs from varied inputs ie. hand Sketch, 2D drawings, 3D renders, into workable prototypes
• Basic Knowledge of Web apps, and Cloud Hosted Solutions

• Needs to be hands on for all machinery and equipment in the Innovation Hub

• Creating Jigs/fixtures from various materials for Prototyping

• Outsource job work from external vendors which require processes and materials not available in house
• Ability to create conversations - ask the unasked questions, clear doubts, flush out gaps & identify opportunities with customers, partners, team members & peers
• Ability to develop vendor & partner network for prototypes that cannot be done in hub

Compensation will be commensurate with experience, academic qualification and job role.
