Job Description

Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) invites applications for the post of Independent Members for Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum (CGRF) established at Torrent Power Ltd.

Qualification :The Independent Member shall be a person of stature and repute having sufficient exposure to and experience of consumer affairs. Person possessing degree in law from a recognized university and having at least ten (10) years of experience in handling legal matters shall have an added advantage. Provided that the Members of the Forum shall preferably have working knowledge of the vernacular language of the State of Gujarat.

Age : Below 65 years as on date of appointment.

Remuneration: The remuneration will be Rs. 4,000/- per sitting.

The Commission has come under the purview of the Electricity Act, 2003, as the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998 has since been repealed. GERC has the mandate to regulate the Electricity Sector in the state of Gujarat in a transparent, effective and efficient manner so as to safeguard the interests of consumers.
