Skills and experience required:
- Planning, resourcing and delivering cloud infrastructure projects using AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure
- Managing virtual teams which may involve both client staff and third parties and helping team members to prioritise and complete work to deadlines
- Architecture level understanding of the AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure to assist with challenging the project team
- Creating and updating project documents including but not limited to detailed MS Project plans, detailed scope, requirements and acceptance criteria and RAID logs
- Communicating progress & building relationships with stakeholders at the client and Wipro
- Delivering what was promised on time and budget
- Using a mixture of Agile and Prince2 techniques as required to deliver the project
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage the various teams involved and drive a delivery based approach
- Ability to enforce a one team approach to eliminate internal boundaries across service lines and verticals
- 5+ years of managing infrastructure projects
- PMP or equivalent certification
Job Description:
- The infrastructure project manager will manage the project to upgrade an existing AWS and Azure cloud implementation to implement new services, tools and security requirements as defined by Wipro s architecture team.
- It will also be required to document and implement changes to ITIL based processes as part of the transition-to-support process of training existing support teams.
- The project will be to manage a gap analysis and then create and deliver a project that closes the technical and process gap.
- The role involves managing disparate teams in remote locations as well as the central Bangalore location.
- Significant remote interaction with the client (based in the Netherlands) will also be essential to obtain approval for design and acceptance for the delivered system.
- The role requires a strong, structured project manager with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
