Job Profile Summary
This position's primary responsibilities would include assisting an experienced sales team with their
day-to-day job function, helping to identify new opportunities, deliver campaigns in tandem with the
marketing department and close inbound lead flow, upgrades and transactional opportunities from a
targeted customer base. The goal of this position is support the team meet and exceed quota on a
quarterly basis, whilst also delivering against individual revenue goals. The internal sales role is a
training ground for future sales reps, offering experience of Rackspace sales process, managing
customers and securing sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day to day relationships with a set of customers
Develop relationships with key customer contacts
Ownership of upgrades and smaller transactional business - from identification through to quoting,
negotiating and closing the opportunity (chasing contracts)
Ensure all prices quoted are correct and in line with prior quotes issued to the Customer
Work with new sales as appropriate to own and drive inbound transactional RES opportunities
Prepare HSAs (incl the associated pricing tool/Credit report/SalesForce logging)
Support account planning activities for managed account base
Assist in administrative responsibilities
Build devices in CORE for managed accounts
Cover BDCs’ ticket queues and ensure all new opportunities dealt with in a timely manner
Work closely with BDCs to help promote Rackspace’s products and services and identify
opportunities for further account penetration
Dealing with ad hoc inbound sales queries (eg sourcing product and contractual information)
Proactively cold calling and helping to build campaigns to drive new sales initiatives
Support Major bid opportunities as and when required
Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedure as directed.
Exceed revenue target
Exceed personal MRR goals for owned opportunity
Help support and improve NPS from Customer base
All deals agreed and processed by OVT to hit commission runs
All tickets responded to in a timely manner
