Job Description

An insurance advisor, also known as an insurance agent or consultant, helps clients select insurance policies that meet their needs. They may work for an insurance company, insurance broker, or independently.

Here are some responsibilities of an insurance advisor:

Understand client needs: Assess clients' financial portfolios and analyze risk to understand their insurance needs

Recommend policies: Explain policy options and help clients select the most suitable policy

Provide ongoing support: Help with claims management, renewals, and policy changes

Negotiate premiums: Liaise with companies to negotiate competitive insurance premiums

Explain policy terms: Explain the terms and conditions of insurance policies, including coverage, exclusions, and limitations

Stay up to date: Keep up with insurance-related news and industry trends

Be truthful: Be truthful to customers and not mislead them for personal gain
