Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Work on assisting in designing interior spaces based on client needs and wants
2. Work on generating design solutions that balance form and function
3. Work on developing presentations, sketches, and diagrams to communicate design plans
4. Work on creating interior renderings and floor plans by making proficient use of AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, and Illustrator
5. Work on remaining up to date with current industry trends and materials
6. Work on researching local, state, and national building codes and safety regulations
7. Work on reviewing drawings and blueprints to ensure accuracy and compliance
8. Work on utilizing project management skills to adhere to timelines and budgets
9. Work on executing tasks as assigned by interior designers and/or other staff members
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in interior design or a related field
2. Knowledgeable in design aesthetic principles and up-to-date with trends
3. Ability to conceptualize and visualize ideas
4. Should be confident and possess excellent communication skills
5. Proficient in using AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, and Illustrator (not mandatory)
6. Organizational and project management skills
7. Keen learner and team player
8. Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
