Job Description

Roles And Responsibilities

Design and develop sensor integration of our real-time sensor platform with BMS/HVAC systems.
Work with other software engineers to build software modules for ZenConnect's IoT Gateway and Device Management Platform.
Closely work with the Product and Hardware team to finalise the scope of work and set aggressive timelines and ensure timely delivery.
Effective leverage as a lead by both being hands on at some times and mentoring other engineers with an aim to make the whole team most effective at other times
Participate in code reviews in a meaningful manner.
Understand and improve upon the tech and overall culture at Zenatix

Applicants Must Have

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelors/Masters degree in CS/ECE/IT from a top-tier institute or equivalent practical experience majority of which should be relevant in terms of interfacing third party systems in buildings.
Experience of developing software on an edge gateway with working knowledge of protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, WiFi protocols for integrations with strong programming skills in at least one programming language - Python/Java.
Experience in REST API, WebSocket, SQL and XML
Good understanding of versioning systems, with good knowledge of Linux, networking, and internet protocols.
Experience with Unit testing in a CI/CD environment
Excellent analytical, communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision

It is an added bonus for the applicants to have:

Integration experience in HVAC, commercial lighting or BMS systems is preferred.
Experience with embedded GNU/Linux, anything ranging from personal projects with a Raspberry Pi to commercial or industrial scenarios with custom devices
Experience in building mobile apps in Android or iOS.
Experience in building distributed systems software
Prior experience of developing the IoT technology stack
Experience of working both on the technology side and the product side
Experience of working in a startup.
