Position: IT Analyst/ Developer
Work Location: Chennai
DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT OF DESKTOP-BASED PROJECTS
Develop and document desktop-based applicationsAdhere to DCS EMEAI Development Team StandardsManage or escalate risks, issues and delays appropriatelySeek, whenever possible to complete projects on time, on budgetAbility to assist in delivering design, development and deployment of software system
SUPPORT EMEAI DEVELOPMENT TEAM AND BUSINESS
Work with DCS EMEAI Development teams to ensure project progressEncouragement and development of a team culture both within own team and across the companyDemonstrate effective communication between development team members, as well as internal/external clients. Encourage departmental dialogue to ensure successful collaboration and delivery of company projects
MAINTAIN SOURCE CODE AND ISSUE TRACKING USING GLOBAL CENTRAL REPOSITORY
Ensure DCS EMEAI Development Team source code is stored and maintained in GitHub and is up to date and issues managed within guidelinesComply with documented team standards for source controlProvide training and support to EMEAI IT Business in using the Issue tracking system where appropriate
ENSURE BEST USE OF S-W INTERNAL SYSTEMS
Proficient in the use of PPM project management system, including time trackingEnsure best use of the IBM Connections platform for person, team and company useProficient in Remedy Incident Management System

Requirements
- Bachelor degree in computer science or Adequate IT experience
- Knowledge of the following systems is preferred: SQL Server, ERP Systems
- Experience in Microsoft Office products an advantage
- ASP.NET MVC 2,3,4 and C# using Visual Studio 2010 and above
- Javascript, jQuery, CSS, XML, HTML
- Test Driven Development Methodologies
- Object Oriented Design
- Database Knowledge (SQL Server, Oracle)
- Source control knowledge
- AJAX, HTML 5
- Responsive Design
- Development Patterns and Practices
