Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Assist in performing hardware and software installation procedures
2. Perform software configuration on stand-alone computers and laptops
3. Provide support in diagnosing hardware and software issues and troubleshooting activities
4. Lay cables and wires for networks and ensure that they are in good working order
5. Take user support requests and take measures to fulfill requests
6. Assist in hardware and software inventory management
7. Handle periodic maintenance of hardware and software
8. Troubleshoot equipment such as printers and scanners and other peripherals
9. Take telephone calls from users and attempt to assist them with their information technology questions and problems
10. Provide users with ongoing assistance in their information technology problems
11. Provide support in setting up end-user training activities
12. Handle infrastructure administration activities such as server and storage capacity handling and directory services management
