Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be part of the CICS Transaction Gateway product development team in India Systems Development Lab. As part of this role, candidate can learn and apply deep technical skills in Java/ J2EE domain for the development and implementation of complex software solutions. He / she will have opportunities to contribute to IBM's intellectual property portfolio. Candidate can grow further into development specialist, lead and architect.

Employees in this role creates /uses design specification to implement the identified components. They also ensure that the code is implemented , unit tested and ready to be integrated into the product along with relevant documentation. Software developers also provide fixes to defects identified by the verification team during the software development life cycle or by customers. Employees focus on individual/team objectives and development of professional effectiveness.

The available role enables employee to define, recommend, and implement solutions and alternatives to drive a high level of customer satisfaction, present at conferences, understand and effectively execute using Agile and DevOps software development processes and procedures and innovate new approaches as appropriate, deliver technical videos, blogs and submit patents and contribute to IBM's innovation portfolio. This role will help employee gain technical excellence over the domain and portfolio and help him / her grow into a Development lead, architect or a customer advocate.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Computer Programming in Java, Java EE, C ..... Advanced knowledge of these languages is required.
Existing mainframe - z/OS Skills or ready to learn. (In case no z/OS, then strong knowledge of Unix / Linux is required).
Cloud, application and data modernization technologies
Software problem solving and diagnostic skills
Good communication skills, both verbally and digitally
An eagerness to learn and exploit new technologies and computer languages
Experience: 5-10 years

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience in programming in Java / J2EE
Experience in problem solving with real customer scenarios as well as product defect fixing
Experience in product development using Java / J2EE
Experience of working with Cloud, application and data modernization technologies
Experience of working with z/OS
Presentation skills and the ability to share knowledge
