Job Description

F.No.1(64)/2009/AFT/PB/Adm-II

Applications are invited for filling up the post Of Joint Registrar in the Armed Forces Tribunal, Regional Bench, Chandigarh on deputation basis 

Eligibility Conditions:Officers of Central Government or State Governments or Supreme Court or High Courts or District Courts or Statutory/Autonomous bodies having pensionary benefits possessing a degree in law: (a) (i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or Department or

(ii) five years' regular service in the parent cadre or Department in a post in level-11 of the pay matrix; and (b) having ten years of experience in personnel and Administrative or Judicial works.

Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level-12 (Rs. 78800-209200) or Pay Band - 3 (Rs. 15600 -39 100 + Grade Pay Rs. 76001.) (pre- revised)

The period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other Organization or Department of the Central Government shall not ordinarily exceed four years.

The Armed Forces Tribunal Act 2007, was passed by the Parliament and led to the formation of AFT with the power provided for the adjudication or trial by Armed Forces Tribunal of disputes and complaints with respect to commission, appointments, enrolments and conditions of service in respect of persons subject to the Army Act, 1950, The Navy Act, 1957 and the Air Force Act, 1950.It can further provide for appeals arising out of orders, findings or sentences of courts- martial held under the said Acts and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
