Job Description

JRF Agriculture Engineering 

Title of project: Development of rainfall intensity duration frequency (IDF) curves over India under non-stationry climatic conditions (Project No. SER-1522-WRC).

Qualifications: M.E./M.Tech./MS by research in Water Resources Engineering/ Agriculture Engineering with GATE Qualified.

Emoluments: Rs. 31,000 (for initial two years) per month/ Rs. 35,000 (3rd Year) per month.

Duration: 2 years Upto duration of the project.

Job description: The overall objective of the project is to develop tool for generating IDF curves under non stationary climatic conditions. In specific various analyses have to be performed such as disaggregation of rainfall, uncertainty quantification, creating database for the baseline as well as future periods. Strong knowledge of Matlab programming, GIS software, dealing with the spatial- temporal climate data are preferable.
