11. Brief description of Project The project aims to develop new and unified asymmetric processes utilizing nitrogen ylides to access biologically relevant heterocyclic scaffolds, such as dihydrobezofurans, dihydroindoles, and tetra/ dihydrofurans. The potential of supported immobilized organocatalysts for the execution of multiple transformations involving the formation of multiple C-C and/or C-X bonds in one-pot will be explored. Towards this goal, the advantages of bifunctional reactivities of nitrogen ylide as potential synthon will be taken.
