Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF-2 Nos) in the TIET-VT
(Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala - Virginia Tech, USA) Center of
Excellence for Emerging Materials (CEEMS) sponsored projects

Fellowship: Rs. 25,000/month (consolidated)

Duration: Three years

Eligibility criteria: M.Sc. in Chemistry/ Catalysis and or MTech. in Nanotechnology/Nanomaterial with 1st class/division (60% marks). NET/GATE qualified candidates will be preferred.

However, candidates without NET/GATE qualification with exceptionally good academic & research
record may also apply.

Title of the projects: 1. H2 production from H2O splitting and industrial waste solvents by graphene
oxide coated Metal(M)-TiO2 nanocatalysts under solar radiation (PI: Dr
Bonamali Pal)

2. Triglyceride/glycerol transformation into value added products employing heterogeneous catalysts (PI: Dr Amjad Ali; Co-PI: Dr B N Chudasama)
